CHRISTMAS IN JUNE
June was really nice this year! We had some really hot days, but also rainy ones. But I like that when it generally feels like summer. Here are some of the things I enjoyed this month:
1. Amazon's Alexa: This is the kind of technical stuff you don't really need to survive. But Alexa is really fun! She wishes you a good morning, tells stupid jokes (and knows many "your mother"-jokes!) and I find it really pleasant to beat her in blackjack nearly every time we play it.
2. Bum Bum Ice Cream: Someone on instagram told me, that this obviously is a 'german thing'. Bum Bum was an icecream on a bubblegum stick that was famous here around the 1990s. And this year Nestlé/Schöller relaunched it as a kind of ice candies. They taste exactly like back then and they're highly addictive!
3. Started to read Dragonball again after a few years of... well... not reading it. It was THE story of my childhood - I loved it so much. Favorite part still are the Cell Games.
4. I drank soooo much (instant) ice coffee this month! But it was really hot and ice coffee is the best thing to relax and cool down on a summer day for me. I especially love the instant versions, because they're so thick and sweet.
5. Homemade herb butter! I made it myself, because I was invited to a garden party of one of my customers (which was awesome!).
6. I shopped a few art supplies at boesner. Nothing special, but I needed some new brushes, some special watercolors and a masking fluid (wich is not displayed here).
7. The christmas presents for a friend. It was kind of weird to give her the presents while you sweat in your clothes because it's about a million degrees outside. We did not see each other since christmas, so that's why I gave it to her this late.
So, that's it, guys. Next month is going to be as awesome as this hopefully!
A SUMMERS DAY
I recently spent a day at a local lake with a friend of mine. We had a barbecue, fed some cute baby ducks and ate watermelon. It was a kinda nice and sunny day and very relaxing.
If you want to have a great day like this as well, I have 10 recommended essentials for you:
1. Good friends
2. A barbecue
3. Olive oil (with orange)
4. Drawing utensils
5. Meat (or/and vegetables)
6. A little green caterpillar
7. Melon and strawberries
8. Wine out of plastic cups
9. Movies
10. Cute baby ducks
So let me know, if you spend a great day at a lake. I love days at the lake, they're always fun and creative.
